The return of James & Kula Shaker 


Estoy un poco emocionado porque dos de mis bandas favoritas de todos los tiempos que parecían haberse disuelto han anunciado recientemente que se reúnen no sólo para salir de gira sino para grabar nuevo material. Uno de ellos es Kula Shaker, que nos sorprendió con un EP (regularzón) el pasado abril, pero compensaron con un concierto fenomenal en León (España) en diciembre, en el Purple Weekend. Hoy han hecho este breve anuncio en su página de MySpace:
 		  I'm a bit excited because two of my all-time favorite bands that had seemed to split up for good have recently announced they reform not only to tour but also to record new material. One of them is Kula Shaker, who surprised us with a (so-so) EP last April, but made up for it with a more than phenomenal live show at the Purple Weekend in León (Spain) in December. Today they've posted this brief announcement on their MySpace page:
 

As promised, Kula Shaker have now officially announced their return in 2007
with news of new management, new up and coming fan communities, a soon to be
revealed revamped website and the main thing....the release of a new EP and
the long awaited third album. A busy year ahead folks!

La otra banda es James. Hoy, Jim Glennie, el único de los miembros originales de la banda que siempre estuvo en la alineación (incluso, ha estado más tiempo en la banda que Tim Booth), colocó esta carta en la portada de su nuevo website oficial, wearejames.com:
 		  
The other band is James. Today, Jim Glennie, the only original band member who was always in the line-up (he's been in the band even longer than Tim Booth has), has posted this letter on the front of their new official website, wearejames.com:
 


Yo tenía muchas esperanzas de que hubiera buena música el año pasado, pero viendo atrás, no tuvo muchas cosas sobresalientes. Esperemos que este esté mejor. Ah, y esperen una adición sustantiva al jukebox en el siguiente mes, y una actualización de la lista a la derecha de cosas que estoy escuchando ahora.
 		  
I had high hopes for good music last year, but looking back at it, it didn't have a lot of highlights. Let's hope this one's better. Oh, and expect a huge addition to the jukebox in the next month, and a refreshing of the "currently listening to" list on the right.
